The Hoover Buccaneers and Opelika Bulldogs will renew acquaintances Thursday night at 7 p.m., nearly two years removed from one of the most memorable playoff games in recent Alabama high school football history. When these programs last met in the 2024 AHSAA 7A state quarterfinals, Hoover emerged victorious 32-29 in a triple-overtime thriller.
