Nurses across Alabama may have had personal info compromised in board cyberattack

The Alabama Board of Nursing is investigating a suspected cybersecurity event in August that may have compromised personal information for all Alabama nurses, applicants and members of the public.

The Alabama Office of Information Technology is cooperating with the FBI and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) to look into the scope of the event, as well as contain it and develop a plan to restore its services.
