The medical district, including Huntsville Hospital, has been a focus of a study due to heavy pedestrian traffic. The corridor study area covers an 8.85-mile stretch from 14th Street on the west end to Caldwell Lane in the Big Cove area.

The city of Huntsville will hold an open house on Tuesday to seek public input for its Governors Drive corridor safety study.
